"Today is going to be so much fun," thought Ethan Michael Smith, age 5, of Portage, Indiana. "That's because today, I get to go to Central Elementary School."

Earlier that morning Ethan had dressed quickly and rushed through his breakfast.

"Slow down, Ethan," Tristan, Caleb and DJ said laughingly. Ethan seemed more excited now than he had ever been before.

When Ethan arrived at Central Elementary School, he ran up the steps to catch up with the other children.

Ethan ran to his very own locker. As he opened the locker, Ethan thought he heard a rustling inside.

"Is there something inside my locker?" Ethan wondered. "What could it be?"

Just then, Mrs. Jones walked up and said, "You'd better hurry to class, Ethan."
